Slot machines are one of the most liked games to enjoy at casinos. On any given night, expect most of the machines to be filled with eager gamblers. They appear in a good selection of playing levels; a few only cost five cents a spin while others can cost as much as twenty dollars a spin. Although slot machines are a wagering tool, many people are intimidated by the big money table games and like the delight and exhilaration of a good slot machine game.
The initial mechanical slot machine was built in Eighteen Ninety Five and was dubbed the "Liberty Bell." Created by a California auto mechanic, the initial slot games had 3 reels with a cracked Liberty Bell, diamonds, hearts, and spades affixed on each. Before this invention, the name "slot machines" was employed to characterize various kinds of vending machines.
The initial across the board use of slots in US betting houses is credited to the Flamingo Hotel, Las Vegas in and around the 40’s. The owner of the betting house had originally thought the machines would be amazing to captivate bored wives of some of the biggest high roller customers of the betting house. He didn’t anticipate that the slots would be a fun activity for almost everyone and that the enticement would go further than the bored wives. Now, it is said, slot machines comprise over two-thirds of all revenue generated by American brick and mortar casinos.
Slot machine games certainly have a full history. From the little creation of the mid-19th century to the billion dollar business of today, slots will continue to develop in universal appeal.
